…Listening to:

Puddle of Mudd. Yes, I’m still listening to them with a little Default, Nickelback and Staind thrown in for good measure

My daughter. She’s a singer and has a talent competition coming up so I’ve been hearing her even more than usual *g*

The soundtrack for the movie Hairspray. My daughters and I love this CD!

…Reading:

Blood Brothers and The Hollow, the first two books in Nora Roberts’ Sign of Seven trilogy and LOVED them! Can’t wait for Gage’s story *g*

45 Master Characters by Victoria Lynn Schmidt. Really enjoying this. I enjoy digging into my characters’ archetypes and these are really unique.

A Man Worth Keeping by Molly O’Keefe. I loved Baby Makes Three, the first book in this series and I’m so glad I finally have time to read Max’s story.

…Loving:

That my first release, Not Without Her Family, is out now! I’m really looking forward to seeing it in an actual store *g*

The warmer weather. It finally warmed up enough here that our furnace stopped kicking on at night. Bring on the sunshine!

That there are only 4 days left of school. Yes, I’m sure the kids will drive me nuts before the end of June (and vice versa *g*) but they’re so excited to be done with the school year so how can I not be excited for them?

That I get to start Allie’s story! Can’t wait to give her her own happy ending

…Watching:(on DVD)

Roswell. I haven’t had as much TV watching time as I’d like but I’m almost done with the first season *g*

Loved the season finale of The Office! Poor Jim was heartbroken to have his proposal stolen by Andy but it was so funny. And the last scene was too perfect!

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on FoodTV. Makes me want to hop in my car and try all those cool places myself *g*

…Wishing For:

A free weekend evening to take the family to the Drive In. Love cuddling up in the car and watching two great movies!

The perfect pair of shoes to go with the dress I’ll be wearing for Romance Writers of America’s award night at their National Conference. A shopping trip is definitely in order!

Just a few more hours in the day (I have a feeling I’m going to be wishing for this for a long time!)

…Bringing to the next family picnic:

Rhubarb/Strawberry Crunch
1 cup flour

1 cup packed brown sugar

3/4 cup quick cooking oats

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup margarine

4 cups sliced rhubarb

1 pint fresh strawberries, halved

1 cup sugar

2 Tbl cornstarch

1 cup water

1 tsp vanilla

In medium bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press half of mixture into a 9″ square baking pan.

Combine rhubarb and strawberries; spoon over crust in baking pan. In saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch, stir in water and vanilla. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook and stir for 2 minutes.Pour over fruit.

Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
